The Athenian Constitution is a document thought to be written by Aristotle, a great philosopher at the time that it is well known today, or one of his students. It was written on papyrus paper, and explained the history of the government in Athens. This acts a form of communication as it informs others about what the government was like, its purpose, and how it progressed over time. The document could give the reader a concept of how society functioned based on the government. It may also contain the author's personal opinion towards the democracy of the city-state at the time.

Alexander and Aristotle

Continuing on the topic of Aristotle, he was a tutor to Alexander the Great through King Philip II (who hired him). As many know, Aristotle was a famous philosopher, a student of Plato, and was born in 384 BCE. About 40 years later, Alexander is being tutored by him. Aristotle was shown to be important and influential to Alexander. He promoted the conquering of the Persian Empire, and Alexander brought Aristotle's work with him. This caused Aristotle to be a larger name in the east, showing and bringing recognition to his philosophy. It is no doubt that Aristotle helped Alexander become a successful conqueror and leader, helping him earn the title of "The Great".
