“Do not train a child to learn by force or harshness; but direct them to it by what amuses their minds, so that you may be better able to discover with accuracy the peculiar bent of the genius of each.”

In this quote, Plato is saying to not teach and discipline children by using force.  But to discipline them by what they seem interested in. That way we are able to see the uniqueness and mindset of each growing child. As every child is a genius in their own way.

This quote states that courage is one of the most important aspects and traits of a human being. As it also guarentess our other traits. An example may be that we are curages
